Growing a Healthy Future in School Gardens

Sprouts seminar speaker Sandra Van den Berg, a professor of behavioral science and health promotion at UT Health and associate director of the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living, will deliver a talk based on her decades of research, including on the impact of school gardens and food as medicine. Her talk, “Growing Healthy Futures: The Impact of School Gardens on Children’s Well-Being,” will be followed with a presentation of the winners of new Sprouts fellowships for current UT undergraduate and graduate students working in the field of nutrition and school gardens. 

Lunch, Sponsored by Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, will be provided to those who register in advance and attend the seminar.
